The Junior Pureflow is a three stage purification process employing an aerobic biological principle serving populations of 7 and over. The system is ideal for a single house or small community. Low maintenance requirements and power consumption enable Junior Pureflow installations to provide a cost effective answer to the environmental pollution problem.
The Junior Pureflow consists of a combined Primary Settlement Tank and Final Settlement Tank, suitably sized and baffled to promote good flow balancing, settlement of solids and a sludge holding capacity. This is all self-contained within a strong, sturdy GRP structure, manufactured to the highest standards.
A biological filter matrix of uniform and continuous cross flow design provides an ideal surface area on which the active micro-organisms can grow. This is positioned above the Primary Settlement Zone to ensure excellent biological oxidation of organic material. Sited within the Primary Zone and enclosed within a mesh screen, is a submersible pump which continuously re-circulates the settled wastewater through the Junior Pureflow where the biological treatment takes place. The treated liquid is clarified further in the final settlement compartment before discharging to the percolation area.
For difficult sites, the Junior Range can be supplied with a final Effluent Pump and Alarm option. This gives greater flexibility and allows disposal of the final effluent to sub-soil irrigation or to a mound percolation system. Designed in accordance with BS6297 the Junior Pureflow system will meet consent standards of 20mg/ 1 BOD, 30mg/1 SS or better when appropriately sized and properly maintained. Careful consideration in design has been given for easy and safe access for desludging, pump maintenance and for inspection purposes.
