T-T Flow Help to Support the National Grid
Back in 1916 the Loch Eilde Mor Dam was first built; the new hydro scheme aims to take this stored water from the dam and convert it into electricity, this will then be exported in to the National Grid. Along with the £25 million that is currently being spent on new schemes this year, 25 other schemes have already been commissioned and constructed over the past four years in the hope that they will create a positive impact on the Highland economy.
Bespoke Valves withstand 40 Bar of Pressure!
T-T Flow rose to the occasion by supplying three DN150 Metal Seat Gate Valves confirming to BS5163 rated to PN40. This means that these bespoke valves can withstand 40 Bar of pressure compared to the industry standard of just 16 Bar. This is extremely important for this particular application as the valves need to withstand higher water pressures. Prior to the valves being installed, full design calculations were made, new patterns produced and extensive acceptance testing was undertaken. This is just one of the bespoke projects T-T Flow have been involved with this year, recognising that every industry has different requirements and offering tailored solutions to ensure that optimum efficiency is continually reached.
