35 Year Old T-T Submersible Effluent Pump

An historic surprise arrived at the TT Pumps Service Centre when a customer brought in a TT505 Submersible Effluent Pump for repair. From our records, we discovered the pump was provided to an installer some 35 years ago and was one of the first TT505’s ever to be sold.

More to our surprise was that the customer had owned the property where the pump was installed for 30 years and had no knowledge of the pumping system until new building work revealed the pumping station in a neglected but working state.  Our customer decided that he would buy a new TT505 and have the old pump refurbished as a standby. 

TT505 Submersible Effluent Pump  

After 35 years of loyal service, the TT505 Submersible Effluent Pump has been a favourite in the pump industry for its solid build and reliability.

One of its key features is the ability to pump at zero head without the threat of overloading, making the pump unique with the added capability of having a cutter facility that will shred destructible solids down to less than the 15mm free passage of the pump. 

The low head capability is much appreciated by installers when replacing pumps where very little data is available to hydraulic requirements of a system and there is a risk of little or no head to work with. 

The TT505 has been upgraded over the years but with little change to its key features. Available Ex-Stock on Same Day Dispatch with 230v and 400v models, the TT505 can be supplied with an Auto Coupling or Hose Tail and Base for Free Standing.
