As part of the overhaul of the golf course irrigation system at Redbourn Golf Club in St Albans, there was a requirement for a robust and reliable Hi-Dro Booster set to increase flow and pressure while meeting all required specifications.
Redbourn Golf Club is a prestigious course located close to St Albans in Hertfordshire, offering a beautifully landscaped main 18 hole course and shorter 9 hole course to cater for differing abilities.
Over the last few years, the club has worked on improving the levels of efficiency and water harvesting at the site, including a new 7,200 m3 irrigation lake completed in 2019.
The next phase of the project included an overhaul of the whole irrigation system used at the course, with the aim of reducing mains water usage. As part of the upgrade, there was a requirement for new Hi-Dro Booster Set to increase flow and pressure.
After carefully assessing the requirements of the project, T-T Pumps supplied a booster set to the full specification required by Irritech Ltd, providing a flow rate of 20m³/hr at 8.8 bar pressure.
The supplied components included Hi-Dro Boost DA 40/14 T VSD c/w 2 x 5.5kW vertical multistage pumps with motor mounted variable speed drives. Manufactured using the latest pumping technology, these high quality booster sets use WRAS compliant components and are assembled using stainless steel suction and delivery manifolds for robust long-term operation.
T-T also supplied a bespoke control panel to Irritech specification, including a back-up fail safe system via TT Smart Digital Pressure Controllers.
