Double hinge flap valves are simple non-return check valves that are installed on pipe outfalls or culverts. As fluids can only go through this valve one way, it prevents debris from flowing back, such as sticks and leaves.
Typically utilised in river, surface/stormwater and treatment works outfalls, the backing flange is cleverly drilled to facilitate either headwall or flange mounting.
Please note: To ensure effective operation, mount the flap valve with sufficient 'fall-away' to prevent the build-up of debris around the invert.
