Hi-Dro Boost Set for Kent Animal Sanctuary

We were delighted to supply urgent components for the supply of water flow to new glamping cabins at Port Lympne Safari Zoo, a renowned sanctuary for rare and endangered animals in rural Kent.

T-T Pumps received an initial enquiry from the client Travis Perkins in late February, who were working on behalf of Ian Williams Ltd and required a Hi-Dro Booster Set and two high-capacity storage tanks by the 2nd week of April. A very tight deadline - but one we were confident we could meet!

After assessing the full specification of requirements and selecting the most appropriate products to meet the needs of the project, the client placed an order on 1st March. Totaling around £20,000, the chosen components were a Hi-Dro Booster Set DA VX 1-10, a clean water set designed to provide the required flow and water pressure, along with 2x high-capacity 6,000-litre storage tanks and a robust Mild Steel Kiosk.

Led by Sales Engineer Les Manning, we are pleased to say that the units were safely supplied and delivered to the site on 9th April, meeting the deadline and resulting in a very happy client.

Peter Bell, Branch Contract Sales Supervisor at Travis Perkins Orpington, said:

“I'd just like to take a quick moment to thank you for all your recent help regarding the project at Port Lympne Safari Park.

“This was a highly valuable project that without your professionalism and expertise, we simply would not have been able to land.

“Your professionalism in assisting myself and my customer was greatly appreciated by both of us, not to mention meeting a very difficult deadline in complicated times.

“I truly look forward to our next opportunity to work together in the future - it's been a real pleasure Les.”

Located close to the Romney Marshes near Hythe in rural Kent, Port Lympne Safari Zoo is a popular wildlife park home to more than 900 animals, including lions, tigers, giraffes, gorillas and the largest herd of black rhino in the UK.

The reserve is owned by The Aspinall Foundation, an animal conservation charity dedicated to protecting endangered animals and returning them to wilderness areas and reserves. The 600-acre site also incorporates a luxury hotel and lodgings, including the new glamping cabins which are designed to allow the public to share the experience of living close to the animals.

The project required a professional and efficient supply of essential components to facilitate the water supply to the cabins at the correct flow and pressure. Our ability to supply the booster set, tanks and kiosk within such a short timeframe was essential in enabling the project to stay on track.
