T-T Pumps knows the benefits of working with trusted industry partners to complete projects, coming together with Blockfree Services once more to assist a care home that was experiencing increasing difficulties with their on-site pumping station.
The Problem
A Grimsby-based care home approached Blockfree Services in need of a solution to their unreliable waste pumping system that was regularly breaking down. The lift station was costing the home a significant amount of time and money in order to repair, requiring maintenance teams to enter the pit in order to unclog the pump.
The Solution
Blockfree promptly attended the site to complete an inspection of the care home’s current pump station. On arrival, they discovered failed internal pipework and an unsuccessful temporary repair that was leaking considerably. Only one of the station’s pumps was operative, meaning the remaining pump was being overworked and damaged as it was not designed to handle the needs of the whole site as a single unit.
The Blockfree team advised the customer that, to ensure a long-term and efficient solution, their existing chamber should be replaced with a package pump station and suitable grinder pumps that can effectively manage the site’s rate of waste production.
Blockfree turned to T-T Pumps’ range of package pumping stations for a reliable solution on a short timescale. T-T provided an XL17500 model chamber, designed to manage large flows and provide emergency storage that allows excess waste to be held and then discharged at the permitted rate to the local sewer.
