Jordan Valley - Metal Seat Swing Check Valves

T-T Flow have supplied two Metal Seat Swing Check valves to a client in Jordan as part of the upgrade of the irrigation system in the northern part of the Jordan Valley. The JVA (Jordan Valley Authority) were tasked with the recuperation of the irrigation system, an 18km transmission water pipeline transporting treated water from three wastewater treatment plants to various farms along the Jordan Valley.

The current system, somewhat 24 years old, was no longer fit for purposes and in many places was extremely deteriorated and unfit for purpose. The new system will provide water to around 1,100 farms to allow the farmers to cultivate the land more effectively. According to the Jordan Times the project is worth six million euros and aims to safely and efficiently provide reclaimed water to the Jordan Valley to support farmers.

The two Metal Seat Swing Check valves supplied from T-T Flow conform to EN16767 (formally BS5153) rated to 16 bar. Both WRAS approved pipeline valves have a , durable fusion-bonded epoxy coated ductile iron body. They also feature weld overlay gunmetal seats flanged to BS EN1092-2 Table 9 (PN16) and stainless-steel shaft. The two valves vary in size with one being DN400 and the other DN450. Both wastewater valves are fitted with an external lever arm and weight, protected by a steel safety guard.

Peter Hindley, Commercial Director comments, “I’m really pleased T-T Flow products are being selected for these substantial projects. Our aim is to provide high quality products along with exceptional service and I think winning worldwide orders of this scale is something that establishes this.”
