National Apprenticeship Week 2024

A group photo of current T-T apprentices in 2024.

8th Feb, 2024 -

As an established provider of apprenticeships for over 30 years, T-T is proud to support a range of qualifications based both in our offices and our workshops.

From electronics and engineering to accounting, sales and projects, our team offer insight to the next generation of professionals, allowing them to earn, learn and gain valuable industry experience.

We caught up with second-year Apprentice Sales Engineer James to see how he has found his time with T-T so far...

What is your role at T-T?

"I am an Apprentice Sales Engineer in my second year with T-T Pumps, I’m currently waiting for my level two results to come back.

What made you choose the apprenticeship route?

I have always wanted to do an apprenticeship because I think it is amazing that you can learn and earn at the same time. You learn so much more than what you expect, all the people around you have years of wisdom.

Why did you choose T-T?

I was considering a few different companies for my apprenticeship, but the deciding factor was the friendly atmosphere at T-T that none of the other places could match. I feel like I’ve really become a part of the company – if you get stuck there are so many people around willing to help you that really do care.

Have you faced any challenges in your role so far?

To move onto level three of my apprenticeship I had to complete Maths and English functional skills classes. I struggled with getting these grades in school, but T-T have given me the time and support I needed to succeed – I start level three in September!

Is the apprenticeship what you expected it to be?

I really wasn’t sure what to expect at the beginning, but it has been a busy 18 months of non-stop learning and hands on experience. I’ve found that everyone at T-T is eager to help you grow.

Any advice to someone considering the apprenticeship route?

I might be a bit biased, but definitely do it. It’s a great way to build a career and get first-hand experience from people who have really succeeded in the industry."

T-T Success Stories

We also want to extend a huge congratulations from everyone at T-T to Rob Carter, who recently completed his Level 2 Engineering Operative Apprenticeship!

When asked about his apprenticeship, Rob said -

"I've learnt a lot and gained a lot of practical skills, becoming an apprentice was the best decision I made!"
