A group of TT Pumps volunteers taking part in a slimming challenge have raised £98.80 for Newcastle-Staffs Foodbank, a local charity providing essential food supplies to people in crisis.

The amount raised has also been topped up by TT Pumps to £250, with all money going to the charity to help tackle food poverty and hunger across the local community.

12 staff are participating in the TT Slim Club challenge and in total have lost a combined 44lbs. Each member of the challenge pays £1 each week, with the person losing the most weight at the end of a specified period winning 30% of the money pot, and the remainder going to the charity.

Kim Glover was declared the winner of the weigh in. We’d like to say a huge ‘well done’ to Kim and everyone else involved for their sterling efforts throughout.

The TT team will be enjoying a well-earned break over Easter before kick-starting again on 14th April to raise even more money for the foodbank.

First opening its doors in 2012, the centre is part of a nationwide network of food banks supported by The Trussell Trust. It works to tackle poverty and hunger across the UK, with the Newcastle foodbank having helped thousands of local people over the last 9 years and provided essential support to those in need.

The charity is one of three worthy causes supported by TT Pumps during 2021, along with The Macari Foundation and Cancer Research UK.

Well done again to everyone involved!

We’re proud to be supporting this great charity and look forward to raising even more money over the rest of the year.
