Valves for the UK's Largest Flood Protection Scheme

We're delighted to be providing specialist Double Hinged Flap Valves for one of the UK's largest flood protection schemes. The project in Arbroath, Scotland, chose TT Pumps to supply the valves needed for the work based on our expertise, supply efficiency and understanding of valve technology.

Angus Council are undertaking the £12 million (€14 million) Arbroath Flood Protection Scheme to reduce the risk of flooding from Brothock Water. Brothock Water runs through the town and the scheme is set to provide a one in 200-year standard of protection.

The project needed a professional and efficient supply of essential components to ensure that water overflow could be efficiently and safely managed. Angus Council contracted Morrison Construction to undertake the work and their outpour specialists contacted TT Pumps to supply the 62 Double Hinged Flap Valves they needed. Our ability to supply the hinged valves they needed was clearly critical to the order.

Morrison Construction needed a fast and efficient supply service as they were working at speed and to a deadline. One of the important factors for securing the work was that the valve was a stock item and we could supply off the shelf.

TT Pumps can offer a complete service, including installation. We have long been able to meet all our client's needs. In this project, the contractor had the installation skills needed to fit the valves so we were contacted as a supply only service. We were able to efficiently supply them with the items to complete the work.
